Nature's Air Conditioner

It has been... well... WARM the last few days. Perhaps WARM doesn't quite paint the picture... it has been sweltering. Yesterday Annie got off of work at about 2:00 pm, and joined me in the sweat shop/ living room. She suggested we go to the coast...(aka Natures Air conditioner).
With each drop in elevation the thermometer reflected a corresponding and welcomed decrease. We went from 93 degrees in Eugene to 65 degrees in Florence.
We had a great afternoon on the coast, flying kites, watching wildlife in the tide pools, collecting driftwood. Perhaps no one enjoyed it more than MOBY. He couldn't stop running around, he was loving it. He face planted in tide pool after tide pool, it was very funny. We had some lovely chowder and fish and chips in Florence and then returned to our humid house. It was a great afternoon!

Man I wish I had that option! I just sweat and sweat and count the hours until 7 pm when it will reach a reasonable temperature. We wait all year long for summer, complaining about the rain, then we get what we asked for and complain all the more.

I just want to say that the weather here has been lovely :) not too hot and not humid. We get nice cool air at night. We are enjoying our summer this year!!! Come and visit some more. I am sure that we are in for some nasty hot in the next several weeks, but it sure has been a pretty mild summer for us. It will be hot when you come again in August...Hot and Dry. I don't want the summer to end, but will enjoy seeing you at the end of it :) The beach and ocean looks so beautiful, sure don't get that in Utah. YOur hair is very curly in the picture.. reminds me of my younger days in California. I am glad that you took the opportunity to enjoy the awsome beauty and cooler air of the Oregon coast. LOve it!!! I was thinking more along the lines of Bob Ross when I saw your hair in that pic. Sounds like a great escape!
