Fun day... and Mysterious Coincidence

Yesterday Annie and I had a rare and wonderfully pleasant sunny Saturday (rare because it was sunny, AND Annie wasn't working). We called up our friends the Richards and went for a lovely hike. Eugene is bordered on the south by forested hills, and it is pretty amazing how fast you can be in what feels like a rain forest (especially if your from Utah). Upon our return I spent the next 2 hours or so weeding the garden plot... The weather was so pleasant that I could have been out there another hour or so. We ended the day at the Richards home eating good food and playing some seriously goofy games (along with our others friends the Palmers). One game involved me shaking until I almost threw up and another showed off Annie's extraordinary capacity for controlled facial contortion. Very fun.

As a side note. It took me a while.. but I pieced together something that explains a lot. If your not a Lost fan you wont really understand, but for those who are. How is this for evidence that my parents were part of the Dharma Initiative? The vehicle in the the first two pictures was our family-mobile through the entire 80's. I cant remember exactly what was on the front of it... There are a few months in the mid seventies that my parents could not be accounted for. And I seem to remember getting visits from "Uncle Ben" when I was a kid... anyway food for thought.

i think the more likely story is that dad took a special trip to the island to pick up the van for a killer deal. I can see dad rockin' the island. I can see him being like a locke- ya know- totally finding himself and being a true leader on the island. can't you just picture him in a sweaty t-shirt building forts, exploring crashed airplanes and making peace with "the others"?

Well that explains a lot.

A time warp would explain your obsession with 70's music...

We love Lost, well the old Lost and now we're just watching to get the end of the story.

What was this game that you played? I need to know! I want to see Nick make contorted faces.

Sorry--no comment on Lost. I never watch it. :)
