Happy V-Day indeed

Well, this was a good one! Kudos to Annie for planning a splendid Valentines Day. We started off the day with a lovely breakfast a'la Annie. It was a ?fertata? I am not sure how to spell it, but I knew how to eat it, and it was delicious. With bacon and mango on the side and my favorite biscuits. If this had been all she had planned, I would have been happy. But no, she had planned a Cross COuntry Skiing adventure as well.
We figured since it was V-Day and a long weekend, that the trails would be packed...not so, we saw very few people. We went to the top of the cascades and roamed around. It was breathtaking. The weather changed every ten minutes, from stormy overcast to goergous cloudless. We skiid into a shelter and had lunch and visited with some other skiers. there was a little stove in the shelter, it was very fun. We got pretty good towards the end, but also tired. I have to say it was the funnest thing I have done a LONG time! It was awesome! At the very end Mt. Washington cleared up and we got a beautiful view (see pic).
On our way home we stopped off at Ikes Broasted Chicken restaraunt along the Mckenzie Highway. WE have driven past this place so many times, and always wondered "what is broasted chicken?" Anyway, to find out, Annie planned for us to have dinner in the woodsy place. It was awesome! The Chicken is pressure fried...and sinfully tasty!
We went home and had planned on renting a random movie... which we certainly did. It was called "Being There" with Peter Sellers. It was entertaining and funny...but mostly it was random.. so it was perfect.
Great Valentines Hun. This one will go down in history for sure.

Gosh. way to make a person feel lazy and like a hermit. Oh well, our frozen pizza and game of rummi cube was pretty sweet. we also saw a random flick- "LArs and the real girl." I really liked it- but it sure is RANDOM!

First off. Annie. You work at Pottery Barn? Please fill me in. Also, can I pick your brain about your work at home? What are you doing exactly? I would love to learn and learn and learn from you! I am so impressed.

Wow, sounds like you had a good time. Too bad you didn't see the Sasquatch while you were out, but maybe next time. By the way, it's 'Frittata', and I'm jealous. Haven't had one since Italy...
