This is a wall map that we picked up in Maryland a few weeks ago at an estate sale. $10.00!! It is a map from 1957. That is why the subject line is asking my Dad if he recognizes it, since it would have been brand new when he was about 10. I think we had purchased most of the Luoisiana Territory by that point so maybe it is too modern for you Dad.......slam!!!!
Anyway it is hanging on our office wall, lest I forget where I am in this wondrous continent of ours.
I get excited about this sort of thing......NERD ALERT!!

i don't know why but i have a real thing for maps!it almost looks like one of those maps that the mountains are bumps and the sort!! i like the way the blues and greens blend together with a pre 60's softness, a true masterpiece for any living room.
When you see the Earth from space, there are no lines. I think we could all learn something from that. heal the world, man.
