50's BeBop Diner

We had a fun ward activity last night. It was a 50's themed night. The cultural hall was decorated up like a 50's Diner, and we had visits from famous artists of the 50's. the ward did a great job and had burgers and shakes and everyone dressed up. It was fun. I was priveledged to play the part of Tommy Smothers (More 60's...but nobody minded). We did our little speaking bit before hand and then sang "They call the Wind Mariah." People laughed and said we did a good job. Dad would have been proud. What can I say, I was born to play a bumbling idiot. It was alot of fun. Annie almost won the hoolahoop contest also...but not quite. We'll work on it sweetie.

What a fun idea! I am so excited that you posted it--I am the Activities Committee and Enrichment leader, and am always looking for fun Activity ideas!!
Italians lived the 50's too, eh?--probably didn't look the same, but they see all the American movies and would love it anyway (said like a true American, I'm sure!).
Too fun!
