Back in the saddle...

Well, the time has come. Ready or not, a post must be made on this blog. The danger of the stagnant blog is that trustee readers will abandon your blog. Sometimes they will just go onto read other peoples blogs consistently, taking yours out of the "check-up" loop. I, however, have freinds who I know will turn instead to recreational drugs... you know who you are... I cant be responsible for that... so here goes...
Much has occured of late. I wish I had pictures of them all. Probably the most significant was a fantastic trip to Lake Winnapasaukee with Annie's family. It was out of this world. Every water toy you could think of was at our disposal, on our own piece of shoreline along this beatiful historic lake. Shoreline highlights included a rope swing that took you literally 40 feet over the water, and an inflatable slide that shot you out into the lake. We had a blast. Annie's sister Lauren has some fantastic pics of it, we just need to get them. We'll post when we do.

Since we returned we have been involved in some home improvement. I was listening to Pink Floyd one day and for whatever reason decided that we needed to build a wall. We also have good freinds staying with us, Brian and Clara Starkey. Brian just graduated in Architecture from the U of O and volunteered to help. I t would be truer to say that I helped Brian build the wall. But it was fun and very testosterone filled. we are building the wall to enclose our washer and dryer. Its been a learning experience for sure.

We also played our last softball game with the Eugene City Planning Department Team. During this game we lost because we let 5 runs go in the final inning!!.... ridiculous. BUT Annie had the game of her season, She got a base hit, scored a run and threw a beautiful ball in from right field!!! Go Annie!

The other day we went boating with the youth at nearby Doreena Lake. We had a great time. Moby had his first voluntary swim (meaning he went on his own accord and wasn't thrown in by Jake) Good job Moby!! The youth are a pretty big part of our lives these days. we love it!!
When we get more pictures... we'll share.

By the way the Dancing Hamsters was a blatent lie to get you to come back to our blog....did it work?

I feel so gullible now. I was waiting for the Dancing Hamsters!

Annie you rock at everything...it's not surprising that it includes softball too!

Let it herewith be known, that the absence of postings from my wife is not the result of my lack of providing her opportunity (or ample encouragement). I would also love to hear her side of the story... but I figure mine is better than none.

Hey, I'm offended. I finally post something and come to see your blog, only to find that you don't even have my blog added to your friends list.
