Goings on...

Well,
The children and Annie are in Reno Nevada with Annie's sister. I am, therefore, alone. Yes it is lonely at times and I sure miss my lovely wife and cute family. This is not to say that I am sitting at home sulking over it. Ironically, relaxing is the word I would use to describe the last 6 days that have been fairly full of strenuous labor. There is something lovely about the freedom I have right now to just do things. Its not that the kids always make doing things impossible so much as it becomes prohibitively frustrating to do them with either repeated interruptions or a nagging sense that I should be helping more. This is where the "relaxing" part of manual labor comes in. Here is the list of things I have been able to do:
1. Clean out the garage
2. Start construction on a Hammock Arbor
3. Play lots and lots of guitar
4. Replace the power board on our flat screen TV (particularly proud of this one)
5. Cleaning the office after I put the TV back together
6. Paint the fireplace white (while watching a lot of SNL 1990s on Netflix)
7. Installing a Window AC
8. Writing in my journal
9. Organizing a boy scout fundraiser
10. Enjoying our raspberries (and strawberries)
11. Make a visit to Fall Creek (my favorite pristine swimming hole)
12. Setting up my phonograph and 8 track player and making it sound FANTASTIC!
13. Read out of my Crosby, Stills and Nash Biography and Rolling Stones 100 greatest Albums of all time.
13. Enjoy good food and fun with friends.
By the time Annie and Chenry get home I will have worked out some serious busy body tension and will be ready to just sit and hold those kiddos and that sweet wife of mine for another six months... at least! Annie sent this video of the kids. This is obviously before they realized that I was nowhere to be found. The attached picture is when they discovered that I was not there. The video is...well just have a watch.

Awesome list...I have to say that the announcement about the fundraiser in RS was inscrutable to say the least. You'll probably need to re-announce it because it took forever to figure out what they were fundraising for and all we ever learned about the donated items was that they were "electronic" -- a broad category that mystified most of the old ladies. Nobody understood that it was a silent auction online. So.... next time have someone monitor the announcing to make sure we know the key info?

I'm pretty sure that kids DO make doing things impossible.
