Circle Game...

We were talking with friends about our parents not having as many pregnancy pictures as our generation seems to take. The truth is WE DO HAVE the pictures! No it’s not MY mother or YOURS, but this woman captured candidly in a spontaneous moment of motherly elation represents ALL mothers from the years 1979 to 1986. No recession, energy crisis or unrest in the Middle East was going to keep this mother from achieving maternal magnificence.

And what father to be from that same era wouldn’t feel satisfactorily embodied by this proxy recorder player – representing ALL testosterone filled fathers and ALL of those Air Supply songs performed to audiences in utero.

These are from an older pregnancy book that Annie and I have around. The book is actually pretty cool and valuable, but there are some doozy pics in it, my goodness! From funny, and cute to fascinating and terrifying. WE hope your as moved as we have been (and Mom and Dad obviously were).
P.S. There is so much potential for adding your own picture captions here... please feel free to do so...

First off, I have to claim credit for being the one to pass this gem of a book on to you guys! My favorite is the man enjoying a snack after "the moment" of conception.

Are we the "friends" in the post? HAPPY DAY!! I do feel better now that I have seen these. I am SURE my dad played music to me on a recorder.

Nothing like a little ocarina music to give junior nightmares and a complex before he's even born
