I want to wish my older brother Josh a happy birthday! He is turning 34.. Wow! Not to freak you out Josh, but to put things in perspective, you were 6 when Dad was 34... Ok I am sorry I said that... But think of all of the cool things Dad has done since then!
This is a picture of Josh when he was 19 or 20 (I am guessing). Even though it is blurry I love it. One reason is that it is one of a few pictures that show the awesome wallpaper mural I put up in my room, but the main reason is it shows Josh in my room playing the guitar. Josh was not in my room often when I was a teenager, but some of my fondest memories are when he was there. One memory sticks out very plainly of Josh and I lying on my bed reading through a Garfield comic book we had, and just laughing our guts out! It was 10 year old nirvana for me.
Josh is a very funny guy. Everyone in my family is actually quite funny. Contemplation reveals that I however am the only member of the family who has to actually try to be funny. Josh is another sibling that just sort of talks, says it how he sees it... and you have to laugh at how wonderfully witty his take and delivery are.
Josh is a hard worker, a hard thinker, a hard reader, and yes.. a hard rocker! I think he is a great guy that I am proud to connected to in an unquestionable and irrevocable way.
I will always look up to you Josh, (even though I am now several inches taller than you) I hope you have a an awesome birthday!!! Wish I could be there.

wow, great picture Jake. I believe it was in your wonderfully wallpapered room that we had the 'cat' incident, i also believe it was in that room that an unfortunate wrestling incident put an enormous 'hole in the wall' that was eventually covered with some sort of weird green carpeted board thingy...also, i am not so sure about the 'several inches taller' comment, definitely you are a 'bit' taller than i am..but you will be glad to know that Eli and I spent our birthday's hunting and finding Trilobites, and topaz. can't ask for much more!! other than my dominance in Calli-ball!
