I am not sure exactly why my drive to post has decreased of late. Life has been admittedly more hectic than in recent history. Work is busy, teaching at the university requires a lot of extra time... I guess of the things that were unwittingly sacrificed, the regular blog entry was one of them. I certainly have lost no sleep worrying about what my devoted followers would do without my occasional quarky updates. I think there is a truth to blogging and it is similar to performing music in bars, cafe's, or at weddings (which I have done much of). The truth is that satisfaction for both must be based on the sharing, not in seeking some assurance that others will find it pleasing or entertaining. I think you set yourself up for disappointment if that's the approach. Like most things, I think blog posters are definitely getting more out of the experience than blog readers.
ANYWAY...
I was looking through the camera and thought it would be fun to share some quick updates from the life of Jake and Annie.

Mobius continues to bless our lives in his own little adorably obnoxious way. His favorite place to be is as high as he can comfortably be (usually the top of the couch). One day Moby found his perch occupied and simply reveled in its new condition.

Annie went on a Buffalo Wing kick... which has blessed the lives of those around her... Dear heavens they are delicious!!

Annie and I spent New Years Eve chaperoning a youth dance. These have come to more poignantly capture and rekindle the angst and awkwardness of adolescence than anything I am familiar with. This dance was extraordinarily fun though (maybe because I was DJing).
Yesterday, Annie had a rare Saturday off so we went Cross Country Skiing. It was great fun. New snow... a lot of work heading up the hill, but great fun coming down. We rested at a great warming shelter about 2.5 miles in, and had our favorite camping curry meal.... mmm yummy!
Life is good. Hope to keep posting more often. I surely enjoy it.
Jake
