To the Desert!

This last week I got to do two of my favorite things in the world! Thanks to Lokalgrown's continued random wedding requests, Annie and I were able to fly down to Utah to do a wedding. We also decided to take the opportunity to spend some time with family in one of our favorite places-- The San Rafael swell in southern central Utah. This means I got to play rock and roll music with my best friends and wander the isolated corners of Utah, all within a few days!! It was fantastic. Annie's little sisters Sydney and Sutton joined us as well as my brother Dan, his wife Angie, my brother Josh and most of his kids. It was classic. Great camping spot, gorgeous weather. We saw too many cars, but somehow (and gratefully so) not too many people. We bounced around on Goblins, slithered through slot canyons, and were almost attacked by rabid coyotes. Oh and my nephew Caleb became a man! Thanks to everyone for a great trip!!

Hi Annie, I just wanted to tell you that I love your blog!! You have such fun pictures and it has such a cool feel! Your trip looks so great! Thanks so much for keeping me, a quiet lurker, on your list! I hope this finds you well. Please know that someone over here in France (and Ireland) is thinking of you! I'm still sad we never got ourselves together to play lacrosse! How are you enjoying your new house? Are you on facebook. Look for me! xo Natasha

Man, I haven't be to Goblin Valley for years. We used to go camping there when I was in Young Men's and we would always get a big game of 'steal the flag' going. Good times...

The swell is nothing but good times every time. Do you remember the last time we went and ate too much frog eye salad and got sick. Let us know the next time lokalgrown plays and we will come see you guys.
