So, Lost is back on which means that when asked if I have any vices (which happens often) I have to start answering YES again. Annie and I are fans. And I gotta say, as much as I tried to convince myself that I didn't need it in my life anymore....the season's kickoff got me all excited again. Maybe it is because the mysterious prophet guy's name is Jacob...maybe it is because Jack looks like Mitt Romney and somehow I feel a kinship... I don't know exactly what it is...
But here is Annie and I's observation... What about the REAL OTHERS... you know the random people (like in this picture) who we have never seen before and have somehow never participated in any of the major events on the island? Some ascend to actually having lines in the show, but seem to be killed off shortly thereafter... Is it necessary to have this many random people? Should we be asking more questions about this? Whats more is that once... I swear I saw myself in a crowd of the REAL OTHERS... I've also started having flashbacks to pivotal character building moments in my life... I have started answering Annie's simple questions with dramatic Jack-like intensity... "fine Annie...you stay here in the produce section...but I AM going to the Cereal isle...and your not gonna stop me...not again!!!!" Maybe I should stop watching....Yeah Right!! I mean, if its not Penny's boat...Whose is it???

I wish we shopped at the same grocery store. That would really be a sight to see! I'm a lost fan...and as I recently observed...the characters on LOST are still lost. What wil we do when they are found?
The black guy with the yellow eyes sent chills down my spine last week. He really freaks me out.
derid can't stand the way that the story seems like it will never end. he says it teases you into thinking you might get some closure at the end of the season- but it just gets more complicated. i am loving watching jack go crazy- he really is gonna crack soon. I also think it is cool that hurley saw jacob(didn't he). anyways-- this show will definitely be a legend- if it ever ends.
ah good old Lost, with all the drama and twists they will probably never get around to solving. Remember that black smoke stuff that killed the African dude(I'm afraid the producers forgot about it), what was that all about? I can't wait for tonight to see what happens. You guys game for a Lost party tonight?
Spencer and I are also fans of lost. Spencer in a HUGE way. So the question is with whom would you have gone at the start of the season. Dr. Jack or Crazy John? I voted Dr. Jack. Spencer voted Crazy John as did Megan McMurrin.
I must be the only person who has only seen the first couple of episodes of this show when it first came out, and those were downloaded from my computer. I do know that one of the 'hobbits' is a heroine junkie musician...you'd think I would have watched more episodes just for that reason, but alas.....i don't know what my excuse is other than I don't watch much tv at all, but sounds like I need to catch up...

Brooke and I have been hit or miss in the past, but started watching more this season without 24. It is a harsh reality when you realize that you are addicted to a show. Mine came when I would call and whistle the clock ticking, "doot-deet!" for Brooke on answering machine (that is the clock on 24 ticking down the seconds of the show). Maybe I will get Lost this year.

The real others do have names given to them by the creators. They are called "socks". And it is not Penny's boat. It is a boat from the evil Thomas Werner Mittelwerk. An evil Austrian only rivaled by Herr Hitler. He took over the Hanso Foundation and the objectives started to radically change. But there is a connection between Penny's dad's company and the Hanso Foundation. You may have seen that Penny's dad bought the logbook for the Black Rock 8 years ago. Plus the freighter has several "quarantine" sections. Lost is great!
